Today, September 12th, the USA celebrates National Milkshake Day. A Quick fact - according to John-Bryan Hopkin at Foodimentary (website): "milkshakes got their name from being served in bars. If the customer enjoyed the milkshake, he shook hands with the bartender. If not, the bartender didn't get a tip." How interesting!
Milkshake - it reminds everyone of an afternoon gathering, a time of chatting during a hot day and in need to refresh with a treat.
Part of our traditions: a milkshake to enjoy as a snack during that conversation with friends while we took pictures for Facebook (of course!). Major craving when you see it get a serving of that creamy, chocolate shake topped with syrup and extra chocolate to sweeten it more. Whoever created the shake was certainly in love with life and needed to make life a bit more sweet to understand why we share, celebrate and smile.
