☕ Discovering Cala Café: Coffee, Argentine Pastries & Cozy Vibes in Wynwood
There is always something new to discover in Wynwood, Miami, and recently I stopped by a charming little spot that immediately caught my attention: Cala Café.
Opened in June 2026, Cala Café is a cute and welcoming addition to the Wynwood coffee scene, offering a selection of delicious coffees along with tempting Argentine-style pastries and sweets. If you enjoy discovering new cafés in Miami, especially places that combine good coffee, desserts, and a cozy atmosphere, this is definitely a spot to add to your list.
Coffee + Chocolate = A Very Good Idea 🍫☕
For my visit, I decided to pair a macchiato with a chocolate-covered alfajor—and I was very happy with my choice!
The macchiato was flavorful and satisfying, making it a perfect companion for something sweet. But I have to give some special attention to that alfajor. 😍
Covered in chocolate and filled with a delicious, rich center, it had that wonderful combination of chocolate, cookie, and sweetness that makes you want to take another bite immediately. As you can see from my photos, I definitely had to investigate the inside! 😂
If you're unfamiliar with Argentine alfajores, they are a beloved South American treat traditionally made with two cookies and a sweet filling, often dulce de leche. Add a chocolate coating, and you have a dessert that pairs beautifully with coffee.
A Cozy Café in the Heart of Wynwood
One of the things I enjoyed most about Cala Café was the atmosphere.
The space feels modern, stylish, intimate, and cozy without trying too hard. The warm lighting, minimalist details, and relaxed setting make it a nice place to sit down, enjoy your coffee, have a conversation, or simply take a little break while exploring Wynwood.
And yes—the presentation was very Instagram-friendly too! 📸 The small wooden tray with my coffee and alfajor was simple but beautiful, and naturally I couldn't resist taking several photos before taking that first bite.
That's part of the fun of discovering new Miami foodie spots, right?
Another Wynwood Foodie Discovery ❤️
Wynwood may be famous for its colorful murals, art, restaurants, and nightlife, but its growing coffee and café culture deserves some attention too.
Cala Café gave me exactly the kind of experience I enjoy sharing through Foodie Fun Fair: discovering a relatively new local place, trying something delicious, enjoying the atmosphere, and finding another reason to explore South Florida one bite—and one cup of coffee—at a time.
Would I return? Absolutely. ☕🍫
