Homemade Halloween Treats

"Trick or treat? Homemade treats, make me something good to eat" - Mary at Foodie Fun Fair (blog) 😋

Halloween is just around the corner. A night for fun and yummy treats. Normally tons of people (especially children) love to go out and collect sweets through a great Trick or Treat round.

Some others may like to stay home, especially now in times of social distancing. Host a small get together in a greatly decorated home and with delicious homemade treats that will turn a spooky monster's frown upside down.

Homemade Halloween treats aren't only delicious, but also spooky fun. Even better when you create these Halloween treats with your kids and family at home.

I went through a search for some of the yummy and easy homemade Halloween recipes. It was really awesome to check out tons of treats. Recipes can always bring families together to connect and share as a team to work for something delicious.

The first homemade Halloween treat I want to mention is a cute Halloween Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treat recipe. It first caught my eye when browsing through Instagram and finding Christian Ou - from One Happy Bite (website). She posted the cutest picture and that caught my attention.

Doesn't that treat look deliciously spooky? A crunchy pumpkin that I am sure everyone is going to love to make and to eat during Halloween night. Christian's inspiration for this Halloween treat came from the website Cooking Classy - where you can find the original recipe to do at home.

The second I found spookily delicious were the Frozen Bananas with Peanut Butter and White Chocolate whipped up by Aryn at Fly Peach Pie (website).

These "Boo-nanas" - like Aryn calls them - surely reminds me of a classic Halloween monster: a spooky ghost. And her recipe looks so easy to do and surely a homemade treat that is fun to create. I'm sure many will be mounching on some of the ingredients while doing these "Boo-nana" Treats.

Last but not least, let's go back to the classics: yummy sugar cookies. Who doesn't love to do cookies? Or who doesn't love to decorate them with your best Halloween creativity? It's surely a great baking activity for the whole family. You can even turn it into a fun decorating activity for kids and the young at heart during your Halloween get together.

I saw an easy to do a recipe from the team at FoodieScore (website/blog). This is a special Sugar Cookies with chocolate & butterscotch chips recipe where you can bake some homemade cookies and buy your favorite cream and edible decorations to do spooky cookie decorations.

These 3 recipes look very easy to do and super delicious to munch on during a nice Halloween party. It's also a nice way of keeping your kids and other family members involved in the kitchen while working together and having fun.

Making homemade Halloween treats as a family can surely create new memories and create a strong bond - something that we surely need during these times of uncertainty.

Which of these recipes are you going to try? Hope all 3 of them!

  5. Me encantan los dulces de Halloween, además son tan divertidos que nadie se resiste a comerlos, este año no se si hare algo, pero en España son más típicos los buñuelos y los huesos de santo.
