Food Stop at El Importado FL

I recently took a road trip to Orlando, Fl. Wanted to get away during the long Labor Day weekend to change of scenery and enjoy new sites. I wanted to visit friends & family and hopefully try out new restaurants and fun places – despite the new precaution period we are living in.

I did visit a few places and had some fun. One of the places visited was a small Venezuelan restaurant called El Importado. I was able to hang out with my beautiful friend Isanic and her husband Gustavo. 

This Venezuelan joint was a bit empty when we first arrived; but within 20mins or so, the place got packed with loyal customers that had ordered food to go. And I can understand why it was like that – the food was delicious, the portions were amazing, and the price per plate was pretty good.

I had a mixed Pepito – a huge sandwich very typical in Venezuela. You can consider it the Philly Cheesesteak’s long lost Venezuelan cousin LOL. This baby is loaded with chicken, thin slices of meat, chopped lettuce & tomato, potato fried sticks, and tons of sauces (like ketchup, mayo, and cilantro sauce). In this occasion, they also added a slice of Guayanes cheese (a special white cheese from Venezuela). It was pretty unique and delicious!!!

I had to wash down the Pepito sandwich with a refreshing Papelón con Limón – a very typical Venezuelan juice made out of the sugar canes and some lemon. It’s a very summer-like beverage for all Venezuelans.

My friends and my Mom enjoyed other delicious Venezuelan comfort foods, like the ones seen above. They were pretty impressed and satisfied by the food, too.

If you head out to Orlando, please visit El Importado. It’s a fun Venezuelan restaurant with great food and very nice staff. I highly recommend this place.
