As I mentioned in a previous post a while ago, food trucks here in the USA have been a place to grave a quick bite and that it surely has become a hot trend for the past few years. Lately, the food served has become very unique and something more than a quick bite. And I must add that some of these food trucks can be so unique now that they can help you have flashbacks and think of great memories...
This is certainly what happened to me when I visited Pipo Burgers on Wheels recently. I was able to eat unique food with a Venezuelan twist and have a bit of a flashback of days when I would hang out with great friends in Venezuela and have a quick bite to eat after work or after partying during the night.
This food truck has a lot of Venezuelan goodies and a few hamburgers and hot dogs with a strict Venezuelan twist to them. I was craving a burger, so I chose La Maracucha burger. A 100% beef burger with crunchy potato sticks, shredded cabbage, some Salsa Verde (special Venezuelan green sauce), ketchup, and an awesome portion of queso de mano - a particular white, soft cheese made in Venezuela.
It was just awesome --- very messy, but awesome indeed LOL.
And you might be wondering, why the flashback sensation at this food truck? One thing that took me to back in the day mode is the environment - from the staff speaking Spanish with all Venezuelan slang to the music they were listening while cooking and serving and not forgetting the somewhat rustic setting of the tables setup in an open parking lot. Plus the taste of the food was sooo Venezuelan! I can't describe so much this detail - it's like a homemade taste that is so unique to your home.
I had to drive 45 mins from work to this food truck and drive 45 mins back home, but it was really happy. I give this food truck 2 thumbs up!
So if you are in the Doral area (here in South Florida), you have to try what this Venezuelan food truck greatness has to offer.
